Awesome Vacation!

Been on vacation with no internet for half of it but we are having a great time. We leave to go home tomorrow, but I dont want to LOL! We have had great weather and it only rained one night.

We went to see Meanie and Papa Bear in Louisiana first. It was a long car ride but the kids and the dog (yup she came with us) we great for the ride.

While we were there we went crab fishing. We casted strings with turkey necks attached and the crabs latched on. I caught the first on of the day. It was a blast, and I think everyone caught one. Lexi was afraid that they would jump out and eat her, but she still had fun.

The next day we went to tour the Coca Cola plant where Papa Bear works. It was fun and interesting. The kids all got cans of Coke with the World Cup design on them before they hit the market, they felt special and all said they would never open and drink them. They all got to sit in one of the Coke trucks. We then went to the Baton Rouge Zoo. Even though it was another zoo it never ceases to amaze me how excited the kids get. Liam went on his first train ride around the zoo and loved it.

On Saturday we went to the Angola State Prison Rodeo. It was great! I have never been to a rodeo so I wasnt sure what to expect. We walked around the HobbyCraft, which a huge sale of all the things the inmates make while they are there, Lexi got a pink Tinkerbell purse and was in heaven the rest of the day. It is amazing what they can make and everything is well made too. After walking around for a while it was time for the rodeo. Lets just say they put on a great show and enjoy what they do. The arena it is in was constructed my inmates with in a few months. They have show every Sunday from April to October. I wasnt able to get pictures as they dont allow cameras of cell phones with in prison grounds.

We relaxed most of Sunday and Monday and then that evening headed to Virgina to see Danielle, Will and the kids.

Wednesday night we took the kids to the Ringling Brother Barnum and Bailey Circus. Let me tell you that is was nothing like any circus I have ever seen. All the kids loved it even Liam. Lexi did fall asleep after about the first half hour, and then woke up to see the last half hour. Guess she was just to excited.

The rest of the time here we have just hung out and had fun with family, a great way to end a vacation. We did take a little trip to Walmart with all 9 kids and boy did we get some look LOL. We actually always get looks when we all go somewhere, but we hava a blast. Tomorrow for lunch we are supposed to go out to eat with them all too, should be interesting.

I will post pics on here when I get home, there are a lot and I need to sort through them.

Hmmm....

It has been a quite month since I have updated. Boys are still doing well in school. Although Noah has been bringing home some not so good grades, but i talked to him and he understands what I expect out of him. Owen is starting to get better at his comprehension in reading and is able to pretty much tell ya what happens in a book when he is done reading it. His teacher has been writing questions for him to answer after his reading and he is doing well with that too, maybe soon he will be able to get something a little more challenging so he wont be so bored at school.

Liam is a full time pulling himself upper LOL. He has even started to squat and attempt to pull his hands of the ground. We called the doc and the earliest they could get us in was the 30th, so until then there is alway the worry he could break his leg again, if he already hasnt. Hopefully there is a cancelation soon so we can get in earlier. He even has a total of 8 teeth now and is very good at using them, with food that is. He has only really bitten me once, but he is my child so I am sure there is more to come.

And speaking of biting, there is Lexi, who I think has bit all 3 of the boys in the last week. Darn boys get mad at her for doing it but then when I tell them to bite her back they wont for fear of hurting her @@.

It has been so nice here lately that the kids are always outside. I love this time of year LOL. The boys are doing better and let Lexi at least play with them and include her in whatever they are doing. Our house seems to be a go to spot for the other 3 kids on the road to play. We apparently has the most/best toys, who would have thought LOL.

We are getting closer to our big vacation and cant wait. Lexi ask everyday if it is time to go to Meanies yet. We now have a countdown on the calender to help her understand how much longer we have until we leave. I will updating as much as I cna while we are gone so it isnt too much when we get back. Expect lot of pictures

Update and pics

Been a busy couple of weeks.

Brought Noah to the eye docs and found out that he needed glasses. He only needs to wear them during school and any other time he is reading, but seems to be wearing them all the time. Ok with me, they wont gt broke or lost it he has them on.

All the older kids had dentist appts last Friday, even Lexi. She did great and was a big girl the entire time. She hoped up in the chair, opened her mouth and let them clean her teeth. No cavities for any of them, but Noah did have to go back yesterday to have selents but on 4 of his molars, he did great when he found out that it didnt hurt any.

Liam has decided to eat everything there is latley including things he shouldnt. He ate a small piece of coaxle cable and then this past weekend he ate a screw. He did poo both of them out, the only way I knew he ate them. So I guess we have to keep a closer eye on him. He also fell out of his crib on Sunday morning, we lowered it so it wouldnt happen again. He is now pulling himself up to his knees and has even started to stand up with assistence. I am thinking if he keep going at this rate he will be walking before a year and suprising his doctors. I couldnt be happier with the progress he has made and all the obstacles he overcame. He is my lil Superman.

Jason and I are doing great and have endured a few things in the last week. My windsheild on my van cracked while trying to change a wiper blade so I had to have the whole thing replaced, it is very nice BTW LOL. Also on Thurs we lost water, and had to replace the water pump in the well, even though the old one was only 5 or so yrs old. I thank my Dad, Jason and Nick for getting it fixed, you dont realize how much you use water until you have none.

Now for some pics of the silly kids

Been a while

Wow where do I begin, it has been that long LOL!

Well Liam is doing well. He does the army crawl everywhere and is in to everything. We went back to the doc for another followup onhis toe and his Dr. says it is doing well. We will not have to go back until April 1st when they may fit him for a brace to help support his leg due to his pseudarthrosis. He also had a regular check up and is doing great. He is a lil behind in his development, but it is expected when you have a cast for most of the first 7 months of life. He is also a lil chunker butt at 19.8 lbs. What can I say the boy likes to eat anything and everything LOL. He is sleeping in his own bed most nights all night (makes for a sad mommy), he just up and decided on day it was the thing to do. All and all he is a fun loving lil man and makes me laugh, even at 2:30 in the morning ( yeah he decided last night it would be fun to play at that time with Lexi, who was also awake)

Oh Lexi, she is a lil stinker for sure. She all of a sudden had a growth spurt, overnight I swear. She is still a tinly lil thing but tall, I am thinking she will be just like Noah, tall and slender. Her favorite pasttime is making messes and not being able to clean them up because she is still playing with it, Oy! She also still loves her lil bubbers (Liam) and spends most days playing and chatting with him, and he loves her right back. I am going to enjoy it while it last because I am sure they will turn in to Noah and Owen and argue 24/7. She does like to help me out a lot too, she loves to help cook and bake, she says that licking the spoon is her job and we shouldnt tell the boys.

Owen is doing great. He is still excelling in his reading and is now reading at a K level when they really only should be at E! I am very proud of him. He does have a lil problem with being able to really comprehend and retell the story but his teacher and us are working on it together to help him through. He is doing really well in all other subjects to and continues to amaze us with how well he does in school. We had a lil spell after the holidays when he went back to school with grumpiness and whininess, but hopefully have it figured out and our happy lil guy is back for good.

Noah is doing well also. We have had to crack down on him and his schoolwork. He was starting to rush through things and bringing home grades that were not Noah like, but he is working on it and is doing well. He had his eyes checked last week and will now be sporting some spectacles while in school, guess he was blessed with his daddys eyes LOL. He is very excited to get them too, I guess he wants to see. He has been helping every now and then with things around the house and even wanted to make both his and Owens lunches this morning, so I let him at it and he did a great job.

Jason and I are doing great. We are enjoying being able to eat dinner everynight as a family, one good thing of being on the 12-8 shift. He turned 31 last Friday so we went out to eat, just the two of us, for the first time in a very long time, it was nice. I am thinking we need to do it more often.

I am also excitd to announce that my big sis is having another baby after 7 yrs and I couldnt be more happier for her. Congrats to you big sis! Love ya!

I promise to update this more often too LOL

Happy Birthday Noah!

He turned 10 today and I still cant believe it. I look back at the last 10 yrs and am suprised how fast it went. I can still remember on New Years Eve before I had him everyone asking me how I was and if I felt anything, becasue they all wanted me to have the first baby of the millenium, he has other plans. I went to work on Jan.1st and worked like I never had before, who knew that he would finally be ready to come the next day. We went in early the next morning and at 1:02 in the afternoon I became a mom. It is amazing how the littlest, sweetest lil man changes your life forever, and I wouldnt have it any other way. Some of the best things I remeber about him was that he always loved creamer in his Sprite, he used to call his umbrella his younger brother (but never called his younger brother an umbrella), he liked to go to Marys house and play with all the kitties (I think we named him right, as he has a love for animal), racing in his Gator with his friend Rachel in her Barbie Jeep down the road. There are many more of these great silly things he did, but I will cry if I think about them (I am such a sap). He had grown to be a great kid and trys to get along with everyone, even his siblings. I am very proud to call him my son and love him more each day. Oh and dont tell him he is my favorite Monkey LOL.

He had a great birthday and a great party. He decorated his own cake the way he wanted it and actually helped me bake it and the cupcakes. He got a digital camera and a Wii game from us. He also got a few games, shirts and a Gift card to GameStop that I am sure he will use the first chance he gets. Thanks to everyone who came and he thanks you for the great gifts.

Oh Christmas!

Well we survived another Christmas and in the end it was a good one. We were able to spend the whole day together as a family this year, as Jason day off was at the right time. The kids were happy with all their gifts and I think they have played with everything Santa brought them.

The boys each got scooters. They were able to take them outside for a ride because the weather was nice. They each also got a remote control car and played with them for hours. I will have to say their favorite gifts were their DS games, of course, and they are sharing them very well, for the moment.

Lexi was so happy that she finally got a Strawberry Shortcake house. She played with it for a while. She also played with everything else she got. We had to open everything so they all got their five minutes of play before she was on to the next. She even tried to get us to open the boys presents LOL.

Liam didnt get much but he didnt care. He opened one present and was happy to play with that while Jason and I opened the rest for him. He also liked the boxes that everyhting came in, but what kid doesnt.

I also have to say that I have the best hubby who got me the best gifts. I got a massager for my chair, some comfy satin jammies, and nice curtains for my back door.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and Have a great New Year
