Oh Christmas!

Well we survived another Christmas and in the end it was a good one. We were able to spend the whole day together as a family this year, as Jason day off was at the right time. The kids were happy with all their gifts and I think they have played with everything Santa brought them.

The boys each got scooters. They were able to take them outside for a ride because the weather was nice. They each also got a remote control car and played with them for hours. I will have to say their favorite gifts were their DS games, of course, and they are sharing them very well, for the moment.

Lexi was so happy that she finally got a Strawberry Shortcake house. She played with it for a while. She also played with everything else she got. We had to open everything so they all got their five minutes of play before she was on to the next. She even tried to get us to open the boys presents LOL.

Liam didnt get much but he didnt care. He opened one present and was happy to play with that while Jason and I opened the rest for him. He also liked the boxes that everyhting came in, but what kid doesnt.

I also have to say that I have the best hubby who got me the best gifts. I got a massager for my chair, some comfy satin jammies, and nice curtains for my back door.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and Have a great New Year

A week of new things

For Liam that is. He finally has a tooth on the bottom. His first one, I was starting to think he was going to be toothless forever LOL. He even figured out what it was for and bit me, if ya know what i mean. He is also doing an army crawl type thing to get around, it is so cute. I will try to get video of it soon. The lil man is even sitting up for longer periods and should be a pro at it very soon. I am amazed at how much he has come along since his cast came off, he is a pretty fast learner ( I could be partial though).

He even had his first Christmas photo op and he did much better then his brothers and sister. It was a fun and eventgul evening for sure and I only got one semi good pic out of the bunch that was taken, but I guess I can expect that with four kids LOL

They were foolign around, but it is pretty cute

This is how Owen hold the lil man, but I dont think he likes it

The one good one I got

And yes he did this all himself and seemed very proud at the same time,

Mooers Strikers!

So proud of Noah and his soccer team. This is an article that was in the Press Republican. Noah scored 2 goals in the tournament too!

Mooers Strikers win Albany tourney
ALBANY — The Mooers Strikers U-10 boys' soccer team went undefeated in the Afrim's Thanksgiving tournament on Friday. They defeated Rotterdam Smith 2-1, posted an 11-0 victory over the Galway Leprechauns and a 2-0 victory over Niskayuna Select and tied the Clifton Park Lasers 1-1.

In the semifinals, Mooers defeated the Niskayuna Select 5-1 and then topped Rotterdam Smith 2-0 in the finals. It is the second tournament title for the Mooers Strikers in a month.

Team members include Nick Ladue, Jamie Rabideau, Holdan Nieves, Noah Kelsey, Michael Kopp, Kyle Vassar, Connor Coty, and Tyler Robinson. The coach is Alfie Ladue and the team is sponsored by Rick Lamberton of Jreck Subs in Plattsburgh.

Liam has 5 toes!

Liam got his cast off yesterday and we were all very excited, well not sure about him as he had no clue what was going on. It took three people to hold him to get the cast off, wiggly lil bugger LOL. His doctor did a great job removing the other toe and moving the big toe up. It looks like a normal lil foot now. She said for now he didnt need the shoe thing she was going to put on him because it seemed to be healing well right where it needed to be but if we notice it moving we need to bring him in to have him fitted for the shoe. She also did Xrays of his leg and there is no sign of a break and it is healing and forming bone well! YAY! His lil piggies are still a lil swollen and some of the stitches are still visible, but they should clear up

So Proud

Had the boys Parent Teacher Confrence this morning. I am so proud of both of them for doing so well.

Owen is still suprising me everyday and is at the reading level they should be at, at the end of the school year. I am guessing he is reading at a 2nd grade level. His teacher said that he usually knows the answer to the questions she ask before everyone else and she has to tell him not to blurt the answere out and give the other kids a chance. He has a 100% in Math also, although they just started to do their math in the last few weeks. His worst subjuect is Art LOL> I am not suprised at all as Jason and I really dont have an artistic bone in us, as long as he keep trying it will make us happy.

Noah has a 91% overall which is much better than last year. I am thinking my decision to not have him play winter soccer was a good one. He is reading more and actually sitting down and doing his homework slowly and not rushing through it. His teacher said that he is very quiet in school and does his work faster than other kids. A few others do too so she created packets for them to do with extra work in it so they dont get bored while the others finish their work (I love the idea). His highest grade was math (no suprise there LOL) and his lowest was Social Studies. During Thanksgiving break he is supposed to make an Iriqoius Longhouse. He is looking to make it as real as possible and is making sure he has every last detail in it LOL I am thinking he knows he needs to bring the grade up and he would like to start with this. I will post pictures when it is complete.

Lexi and Liam are doing great also. Liam has learned that Gaa, gaa, goo is fun to say and says it all the time. He also likes to blow rasberries. He is a silly lil boy and we love him for it. Lexi is...well.. Lexi LOL. She has been wearing a lot of necklaces latley and starting to want to wear her nailpolish, Daddy let her paint her nails one morning and she did a great job.

Hope everyone has a great Turkey day and eats lots of it, I know I will.

That was a long week!

Well Noah def had the Swine Flu. It not as bad as everyone thinks it is, either that or he didnt get it too bad. He didnt move off the couch or his bed for 3 days. We took him to the doc on Wednesday and they confirmed it for us, as well as an ear infection he didnt know he had. We went to Walmart to fill his medicine and he ended up passing out on us, I am thinking that he just overdid it that day. He is pretty fun when he comes to though, he had no clue what was going on and all he could say was I am thirsty, can I have some water LOL. He is feeling much better and went back to school on Monday. I talked to his teacher and she said all the kids were happy to have him back and they really missed him, I was happy to have him back in school, the boy was driving me nuts because he was so bored.

We also went for Liam post op appointment in Friday. That was an interesting day too. The doc took of the temporary cast so she could put another one on. When she took it off she discovered that the lil stinker had pulled the wire about 2 inches out of his toe. She pushed it back in and all he did was give a lil whine. I told Jason that he was just like someone else I know who pulled the pins out if his knee (yup Jason did that). He is now in a fiberglass cast, a bright red one at that. I guess you could say he is getting in the holiday spirit a little early. He will get it off on Dec 2nd and we get to see his new lil foot. I am going to miss his special toe though :(

Lexi and Liam also ended up having fevers on and off all weekend but it only ended up being a cold and they are now coughing and have runny noses. I think Liams has something to do with teething too, but only time will tell.

I am just very happy that last week is over and am hoping that this week is better, so far so good too.

Happy Halloween and the Flu

We did the Wizard of Oz for Halloween this year. The kids loved the idea, or they did it just for mommy, I dont know. On the big night Noah came down with what was the beginning of what looks like the flu, I knew it was bad when he refused a KitKat bar. He hasnt moved from the couch in 2 days except to crawl back into his bed. He also missed a soccer tournament, so that tells ya something LOL. Owen is coming down with it too, although so far it hasnt hit him so hard, may be his stubborness. As of right now Lexi and Liam havent gotten it but that could always change. Hoping they dont though.

Liams Day

Liam surgery went well today. They took off the extra part and also had to take some cartalidge out that was slowly turning to bone already. He will be in a cast for about 6 weeks. Right now he also has a wire in his big toe to hold it straight. His doctor is thinking that he will eventually need further surgeries to help his toe straighten up because it was pulled so far over by the extra toe. He was a tropper through that whole thing and is doing great now that he is home also. He has already mastered rolling around that floor with his big ole cast, LOL.

Life this week

Well Wed is the day Liam loses his special toe. It is getting harder and harder for me not to worry as the day gets near. I have been crying on and off, but am trying to stay busy so I dont think about it too much. I will update everyone as much as I can during and after his surgery. I am hoping that he isnt in too much pain afterwards and that his recovery is quick.

Owen is also having issues latley that I am hoping to get to the bottom of soon, but as of right now everything the doc has had us do hasnt worked. Wondering if it is just taking a few days to work and then all will be well with him. I feel bad for him but he is being a trooper through it all.

We are getting ready for Halloween. I decided that we were going to do the Wizard of Oz this year. The boys were a little hesitant at first but now are on board with it. As always I made the costumes (except Liams) and think I did a pretty good job on them. I am excited to see them all dressed up. I will post pictures after Halloween.

Lil blurb of everything!

Here is what has been happening with us in a nutshell. The boys went back to school the beginnning of September and are doing really well in school so far. Owen is still suprising me everyday with his reading and spelling, I am thinking that he spells better then Noah, LOL. Both boys played soccer this fall so we were running around for both of them between practices and games. I have decided that Owen is not as sporty as Noah, maybe he will be the scholar in the family, only time will tell.

Lexi is doing well also. We decided recently that she needed to be in "school" a couple of mornings a week, and well she thought so also. She loves it and thinks that she can go everyday. I am hoping it will be good for her to be around other kids so she can learn to share better and maybe even learn to pick up, she is good at making messes. She is also like a lil mother hen to Liam and hugs, kisses, and talks to him all the time. She even thinks it is fun to sit on him, he seem to think it is funny too.

Liam is growing like a lil weed. His surgery for his toe is scheduled for the 28th. We are hoping everything turns out fine and he wont need any further surgeries, but his Dr. seems to think he may. He has mastered rolling over and rolls around the living room, kinda reminds me of Owen. He is working on sitting up but is still having a lil trouble, I say it is because he is a chunker.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Bankers Orchard yesterday to pick pumpkins. The kids had a blast as always. Noah of course had to get the biggest pumpkin could find, he does it every year. The rule is that if you pick the pumpkin you must carry it and he did. Of course Lexi got a tiny one, so Noahs big one made up where Lexis lil one was lacking. We are hoping to carve the pumpkins in the next few days when we are all home together.

Hello

I decided to start this blog so that everyone has a place to see how the kids, Jason and I are doing. I will try to update as often as possible.
